Volkl's Blaze series creates a new ski for freeriders who demand performance but appreciate a playful, light and easy feel as well. As the widest model in the line, the Blaze 106 weighs just 1828g (186 cm) and delivers outstanding flotation, in even the deepest  soft snow.

For stability and edge hold, a 0.3 mmk Titanal binding platform directs power transfer and edge pressure quickly as the ski switches edges. This quick, very direct response is wicked cool in narrow and rough terrain, and reduces exertion too. A big part of the magic in the Blaze is also the 3D radius sidecut. The Blaze is designed primarily for short, quick turns, but its three different side cut radii, and full hybrid multi-layer wood core adapt to any riding style, whatever shape the turn needs to be.

Also important in the Blaze's new suspension tip and tail.  An elasticated, rubbery material at both ends acts like a dampener, especially in wind-blown, tracked and variable conditions, giving the ski a more stable ride.
